Your task is to write a Customer Adjustment Letter. These letters are responses to complaints or concerns from customers.
STEP 1. Pretend that you are customer that is unhappy with something (anything you can think of). Write a complaint to the organization/company that you are complaining about. Format and technique for the customer complaint will not be graded. This will simply give me some background information for the next step in the assignment.
STEP 2. Now, pretend that you are the organization that the customer sent the complain to. This time, write a Customer Adjustment Letter in response to the customer complaint that you completed in step 1. Use the sample on page 155 to guide you…but do not copy. The “AFTER” example is better than the “BEFORE” example. Look at the tips in red colored writing in the “AFTER” example. Be sure to follow the guidance provided in red writing. Format and technique will be graded for this portion of the assignment.
