you are to transport yourself back to The Middle Ages and compose an authentic ‘Letter From The Middle Ages.’ Adopt an identity: are you a monk? a leper? a crusading knight? a troubador? Or simply yourselves as a young noble woman or man? Professor Hallay has written a Letter from The Middle Ages as a guide that appears below. You are then to respond to this letter with one of your own, including as many elements from the Video Lecture as you can. At least some of your letter must include at least one mention of costume/fashion, AND IT MUST ALSO INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE EXAMPLE OF INDEPENDENT RESEARCH, DISCUSSING SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT ALREADY COVERED IN THE LECTURE.
You may use Word for your letter, although extra points will be given for letters that show an artistic flair (a Medieval font, for example) in which case, these ‘artistic’ letters must be saved as PDFs.
Because this is a letter, it does not have to be in APA format this time, but you MUST use footnotes and include a bibliography.
Points will be awarded for knowledge of subject matter, depth of research, authenticity, and presentation. Points will be deducted for lack of knowledge, ‘hurried’ work, grammar, spelling, or punctuation errors, and lack of independent research.
