For 11 of the 13 chapters of the textbook, you will be required to submit a one-page written assignment known as your Weekly Reading Observation (WRO). Papers should contain 3 points of observation each. These can be questions, discussions of parts of the chapter you found confusing, connections to other materials you have read, or connections to personal experience. It should NOT be a summary of the chapter content. The WROs are to be posted according to the due dates posted in the Course Schedule of Assignments. Please do not make your WROs longer or shorter than a single-spaced, one full page (give or take a few lines).
Each WRO will be worth up to 4 points and will be graded on its quality. Note, that WRO’s will not be accepted late without a significant penalty, HOWEVER, you only need to complete 11 for the 13 chapters. Given this, you can miss 2 during the semester with no penalty. If you complete more than the required 11, you may earn extra points.
